Ok, I'll admit right now, I really like this artist.  She's a wonderful, interesting person, and her jewelry is just gorgeous.  Capricious Adornments was opened on ArtFire.com 6-14-09 and offers Gemstone Necklaces, Crystal Elements Necklaces, Enamel Art, Bracelets, Earrings, and Seasonal and Cruisewear.  In her biography Natasha says "Welcome to a Capricious world!

I am a multitasking Mom, supportive wife and active in my community. Designing and creating these adornments is pretty much what I do full time. As my business grew, my husband found it necessary to carve a studio niche in our home. In my workplace, I am surrounded by inspiration, walls of windows and shelves filled with sketches, sculptures and paintings. I share my studio with my bird Petra, happily chirping to me every day! Very often, you will find my family passing through, along with my dear Mother and our company Treasure Hunter! My biggest fan and retired traveler, my mother often hangs out having a cup of coffee and seeing what I am up to. I truly count my blessings and it's a happy chaos here!

Walk in the Woods- be inspired by nature

First off, I love the name and slogan of this shop, being the nature lover that I am.  Then of course there are the wonderful works of art that can be found in Walk in the Woods on ArtFire.com.  The studio categories include "Impressions of Nature", "Figures of Love", "Spun Spirit", "Botanical Blessings", and "Other Creations of Love".  This is one of those shops that just draws you in and makes you want to browse through their beautiful creations.  On her blog profile she says "I am what I am. Handmade Plush World of Warcraft Murlocs with SOUND!

I've been making plush World of Warcraft Murlocs for some time now, and have several listed in my shop.  They're really funny mosters, and I have a blast making them.  In a recent conversation with Mother (she and my brother play WoW) she was musing if it would be possible to make Murlocs with sound.  If you play the game, I'm sure you know what they sound like.  I recalled seeing recordable buttons in the craft store on my last visit.  I told Mother that if she could find a good Murloc sound wave file and email it to me, I should be able to record it on the button, then sew that into some part of the Murloc.  Mother's been playing the game for years, so she knows a good Murloc sound from a corny reproduction.  She sent me the file, I got the button and recorded the sound, then I tried to figure out where to put the button in the Murloc.  I thought about the mouth, but it wouldn't have fit right, so I settled on placing it in his left thigh.  I kept accidentally pressing the button while sewing the Murloc, scaring myself and the cats- LOL!  Not only is this creation soft and cuddly (yeah, I know, Murlocs aren't usually considered "cuddly"), but he makes those hysterical sounds.  This would be the ultimate Christmas present for any WoW fan.  Once I can get more supplies I'll be buying more of those buttons and making more "talking" Murlocs.  Be sure to make your purchases in time for Christmas- it's creeping up faster than I want to realize!  Check out my entire Plush World of Warcraft category to see all I have to offer for WoW fans.  Thanks for looking!

My 13 year old cat, Ozzy, has had me pretty worried for the last few weeks. He gradually stopped eating, and I couldn't find anything that he would eat. He lost almost 5lbs. in about 3 weeks, and I was getting frantic. I got a paste called NutriCal, which is a high calorie supplement and would feed it to him from a syringe (without the needle) twice a day. He seemed to perk up a bit once those calories got into him, but he still wasn't eating his cat food. Then a few days ago he came up to me and I swear he said "Mommy, can I please have some Turkey and Cheese canned food". So I opened up a can of that and he started to eat like he was starving. I almost cried in relief. Ozzy and I have always had a very close connection, and we do seem to know what the other is thinking very often. Ozzy's appetite has come back with a vengence, and he gets a can of food a day now. I think the dry food is too hard for him to chew, and he may have had some sort of virus that took away his appetite for a while (when I first offered him canned food he turned it down). Of course Cedric is very jealous that Ozzy gets "special" food, but Cedric is also getting very fat! HE doesn't need any extra calories. I have to guard Ozzy while he's eating so Cedric doesn't steal it all. I feel a great sense of relief now that Ozzy is starting to feel better though. I'm not ready to say goodby to him yet. I keep telling him he's got to stick around for a lot longer. I can't imagine my life with out my best furry friend. So that's what's been going on with one of the critters of CreativeCritters. So when your cat starts talking to you, it's probably best to listen, and learning to speak "Cat" doesn't hurt either ;o).

Some of my work is made with Silver Art Clay which is a silver product made from reclaimed silver. It's made by a Japanese industrial recyling company. It is manufactured in clay form with tiny particles of fine silver suspended in the clay. Once the item has been moulded and carved to the desired form it is fired. The clay burns away and the fine silver particles bind together to form .999 silver. It's a fantastic environmentally friendly material to work with, look out for it amongst my items for sale.
