MyrnaM on ArtFire offers beautiful paintings

MyrnaM, of Spokane Washington, opened shop on ArtFire.com 3-12-09.  Her beautiful artwork has become internationally collected thanks to the wide reach of the internet.  Watercolor is Myrna's favorite type of medium to work with right now because of it's lovely transparency.

Artisan Biography for MyrnaM:

"I am a retired grandmother and proud of it. I love all 22 of my grandchildren, and they give me plenty ideas of what to create and paint.
I have finally found the time to do what I have always loved, painting pictures; painting also keeps me out of trouble.
I love a challenge, so if you have any ideas for me, just contact me, you are never under any obligation to purchase."

You can also find her work on http://www.aceoartcards.com/ and ByHand.me.  Below is a sample of some of the wonderful work you can find in her studio.  Be sure to stop in and see all she has to offer!

A Kimberly Design on Artfire.com

Kimberly, of Leander Texas, opened AKimberlyDesign on ArtFire.com 1-2-09. Her Studio Sections include: Art, ACEO, Jewelry, purses, and AFSP.

Artisan Biography for akimberlydesign: "My life as an artist...

I went to art school to study fashion illustration and graphic design.
One day I found myself in a yarn shop, and was inspired to become a knitter. All the texture and color was amazing. Several years later found me standing in front of a wall of colorful thread, more texture, endless possibilities, this was when I started to needle point.
As I continued to evolve, I discovered I could make tassels. I began teaching the art of tassel making, which led to designing my own free-form needle art. I then created a line of wearable art pins which provided several years of commission sales.
Viola! I began publishing and distributing. Now life was getting exciting, I attended markets with a tag stating that I was a designer and a teacher with my own line of charted needlepoint designs. This was a wonderful time in my life.
I'm now semi retired. I say semi, as I will never totally be 'out of it'. I love being creative."

She can also be found at http://akimberlydesign.blogspot.com.  Below is a sample of the wonderful work available from this talented artist.

12 Midnight Oils- AMAZING oil paintings and more!

Cindi, of 12 Midnight Oils on ArtFire.com paints some of the most gorgeous landscape scenes!  You feel like you walking through the peaceful woods as you gaze at these incredible oil paintings.  I'm a real nature lover, so these paintings resonate deep in my soul.

Artisan Biography for 12MidnightOils

"I became intrigued with landsape oil painting when a friend of mine was channel surfing and happened upon Bob Ross' painting show.

His demeanor was so quiet and calm that it drove my friend nuts! I kinda liked his calmness since it was such a crazy time in my life.
After I moved away from her, I continued to watch and decided it was time for me to see if it WAS really as easy as he made it look...
And I've been painting ever since; I like to release my paintings to the public in a series of 12 with a similar theme.
For instance "In the woods" can mean a lot of things, to a lot of different people. Hopefully when you are looking through a chosen series you will find one that appeals to you.
Selling online has opened a whole new world to me with photography. So I am now offering note cards of my favorite images."

I'm also a fan of Bob Ross, and no matter what he says, I doubt it's "that easy".  It takes talent and vision to create paintings as lovely as these.  Cindi obviously has that talent, and the all important "artist's soul".  Here is a sample of what you can find in her shop.  Stop by and see all she has to offer!

I just love these paintings!  "Overlooking the Lake" reminds me of where I lived when I was a teenager.  These paintings feel like "home" to me.  Can't you just imagine them in your home?
