Black Pearl Creations- where glamour is a way of life

At Black Pearl Creations on ArtFire.com you can find everything from sweet, one of a kind, chunky cowls to bohemian hats to exclusive patterns.  Her Bio reads: "Raised in the UK, the owner of Black Pearl Creations has always been fascinated with yarn and crocheting. Now, as the chief designer and master crocheter, she is able to take her fascination to a higher level through Black Pearl Creations.  In a short 5 years, Black Pearl Creations has transformed from an obscure home decor line into an innovative, upscale clothing line. Its signature style is known in New England for its resort and luxury wear. This was accomplished by breaking stereotypes of African Americans, handicrafts and designing.  Designing clothes that are sexy and wearable is the goal of the company. Cashmere, angora, and silk are some of the ways glamour and luxury are added to the line.  Our line consists of contemporary pants, dresses, purses, skirts, bikinis, sweaters and many other items.  We also offer whimsical hats, scarves and mittens."  Black Pearl Creations can also be found online at http://blackpearlstyle.com/, http://blackpearlstyle.wordpress.com/, http://www.facebook.com/BlackPearlCreations, http://twitter.com/BlackPearlCreat, and http://www.youtube.com/user/joede1123.  Below is  a sample of what you can find in her shop.

Crocheted Little Things creates adorable handmade little things

Crocheted Little Things on ArtFire.com offers a vast selection of crochet cupcakes, faux food and spa items.  She finds inspiration in little every day things, such as the necessity of needing a warm garment, or the desire to decorate her house.  Necessity certainly is the mother of invention. Sometime Lu uses patterns, but then tends to go off in her own direction. She uses no patterns at all for her crocheted jewelry. Her mother, a doily maker taught her to crochet when she was about 9, and she's been putting that teaching to good use!  Her many customers just rave about their purchases: "These have gotten me TONS of compliments! Thanks so much for the quick shipping too!", "Love, love, love these scrubbies. They wash up wonderfully and are so soft! Kudos to you Crochetedlittlethings", and "Thanks so much for the washcloths! They are wonderful and the colors are great! They shipped very quickly and I appreciate you sending the tracking number."  You can find Crocheted Little Things online at crochetedlittlethings.com, crochetedlittlethings.blogspot.com, Flickr, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and IndiePublic. Below are a few of my favorite pieces from her shop, but she's got LOTS to choose from, so be sure to stop in and see all she has to offer!

Wearable Art Huggable Friends on ArtFire.com creates some truly adorable clothes, accessories, toys, and more, all knit or crocheted by hand.  Laura says "Knitting and crocheting help keep my spirit in balance.
There is an excitement in finding a new yarn or pattern. Then, being able to imagine how something is going to look when I add my pespective.
The movement of the hook or needles creates a rhythm that gives me joy.I like to think that I infuse good thoughts into each piece that I make.
My greatest hope is that I deliver a little bit of that positive energy to the person that receives my products".  As a fellow knitter, I completely understand the excitement of a new pattern and the calming rhythm of the needles.  And what she creates with those needles is just amazing.  Some of her customers have said "These are the so totally adorable!
