Turquoise

That's this week's blog ring topic for the Polymer Clay Smooshers guild.  I love Turquoise- the color and the stone.  I still have a necklace with a Turquoise pendant that a boy gave me when I was about 14.   I do believe that was the first jewelry I ever got from a guy. ;-)  And I love the beautiful turquoise colors that can be found on some birds, like these Angry Birds from Popnicute.  These are just about the cutest angry birds I've seen!

I love the turquoise polymer clay beads in this bracelet from Life Art Designs.  Such a beautiful color!  And they look just perfect with the translucent aqua blue glass beads.
Turquoise and Aqua Mixed Media Bracelet
This Faux Turquoise bracelet and earring set from Haffina Creations looks just like the real thing!  One really fun aspect of polymer clay is the ability to mimic just about anything.  Although it does take a talented artist to make them look this good ;-)

Turquoise and silver are such a classic combination, and I love the way they're mixed in this necklace and earring set from Dana's Jewelry Etc.

So many beautiful Turquoise creations can be found within the ArtFire shops of the members of the Smooshers guild!  Be sure to do some browsing and find a few treasures of your own!

Smooshers theme- Orange

The theme for the Polymer Clay Smooshers Blog ring this week is orange.  So let's see what pretty orange creations I can find!  All of these were sculpted from polymer clay and created by the members of the Polymer Clay Smooshers guild on ArtFire.
This orange and black flower pendant from Fesser Arts is just beautiful!

And I really like this Orange Polymer Clay Cat's Eye cane from ArtMakersWorlds.  I make a lot of cats, and these canes would make some great kitty eyes!Orange Cats Eye polymer clay cane
And I just love this orange and white swirled polymer clay pendant from DreamWeaversDesigns.

Pastels in Polymer Clay

Spring is the time for pretty pastel colors- soft daffodil yellow, pale pink flowers peeking through the leaves in the flower bed, soft lilac purples bursting into bloom.  And the Polymer Clay Smooshers Guild on ArtFire does pastel so well!

This Yellow Heart Pendant from DreamWeaversDesigns makes me think of all the pretty yellow daffodils nodding their heads in the spring breeze.  These are some of the first flowers to bloom in my yard and I welcome their sunny color!

And this beautiful tile from Harrison Hollow Designs has all sorts of pretty pastels.  And it would make a lovely gift for Mother's Day too ;-)

I love all the different colors and textures on this piece- the more I look at it, the more I like it!

And I am absolutely in love with this lavender flower pendant from Life Art Designs!

Handmade Purple and Lavender Flower Necklace

Pastel perfection!  I love flowers, and any shade of purple, so you can see why this beauty caught my eye! ;-)

And here's a lovely polymer clay cane in shades of peach, purple, and teal.  My Polymer Clay Canes has all sorts of intricate and pretty canes available.Polymer Clay Cane Bargello Style in Peach, Purple, and Teal

I love the way the colors soften and blur slightly.  I don't make many canes myself, and these pretty designs always impress me.

Although it's been a gray and wet Spring so far, all these pretty colors give me a bit of hope for better weather and brighter blooms in the near future!  I hope you enjoyed my pastel picks from a few of the very talented members of the Polymer Clay Smooshers guild!
